Exercising in the rain can be an absolute pain in the butt, especially in Wollongong over the past few months. So we thought we would provide a few options to help your next exercise session if it happens to rain.
Buy a quality exercise parker
If you are the type of person who likes to really like to run in the rain then you would know the difference between an average exercise parker and a good quality one. Brands like Under Armour, Nike and Adidas make a lot of different styles of clothing so when you go shopping make sure you read the tag. You want something light, yet breathable. There is nothing worse than being stuck in a sauna of a jacket when exercising.
Waterproof Bluetooth Headphones
Next on the exercise equipment list is a great pair of Waterproof Bluetooth headphones. As some of you may know I purchased a pair of Bose Bluetooth headphones last year and they are great, I exercise with them almost every day and I couldn’t live without them. Bose are a little on the expensive side, so if you don’t have $250 bucks to spend on headphones then look around the $100 mark. They will get you across the line and keep you dry at the same time.
Waterproof your shoes
The final exercise hack on this list is to waterproof your shoes. There is nothing worse than getting your nice new shoes wet. It Sucks! Sooooooooooo, stop it from happening in the first place by waterproofing your exercise shoes. There are a few really good sprays which you can buy online which you can apply to your shoes to make them relatively waterproof. It’s not going to completely stop water from entering in your exercise shoes, but it will prevent most of it. An added bonus to waterproofing your shoes is that the shoes themselves will last longer.
There you go, 3 great ways to enjoy exercising outdoors even when it’s raining.
